We won't spy on you any more . . .
. . . but we won't spy on you any less.

The first line above is what Eric Holder told journalists in the off-the-record meeting they had. The second line is what I immediately thought upon hearing his comment relayed over the radio.

"We won't spy on you anymore (or did he mean any more?)" would mean to the honest, upstanding public servant that they would never spy on you again. But, to Holder it probably means "I will not increase the level of spying I do on you - unless I see I can get away with it."

Now, I suppose I should give him the benefit of the doubt that he used the word "anymore" as opposed to the words "any more", but I am not so inclined. Perhaps 'cause all I have are doubts about this Attorney General . . . and this administration. Doubts that he in any way plans to uphold the laws of the land. Mainly 'cause he has done very little to do so thus far. He is apparently a prime mover in the Obama agenda of using intimidation of Conservatives to shape a new America that is more to their Leftist liking.

All we are seeing right now is evidence of the total disregard the administration has for the United States Constitution and American citizens. The law of the land as perceived by Obama and his minions seems to be, "So let it be done . . . so let it not be written down!" 'Cause they danged sure don't want any traceable evidence of wrong-doing.

The scariest part in all of this is that some of the actions of Holder and others in the Obama camp have directly led to the deaths of Americans. The sale of the Fast and Furious guns to Mexican drug cartels were responsible for the death of Border Agent Brian Terry, and likely many more that have not yet been traced or verified. After all, they admit they lost track of numerous weapons.

I think their lack of concern for American lives was also shown when they declared the murderous rampage of Major Nidal Malik Hasan to be "workplace violence" instead of an "act of terror". In fact, the atmosphere created by this government requiring the military and all of society to bend over backwards in our efforts to not appear anti-Islamic probably led directly to the deaths and injuries of the Ft. Hood victims. Hasan showed in numerous ways that he was a cause for concern and a danger to others, yet it was passed over so as to be politically correct.

Then, they not only allowed American diplomats to be slaughtered in Benghazi, they came out with lies not just once but multiple times. In fact, they are still denying, distorting, denigrating, and distracting from what actually happened. Not to mention giving free passes or promotions to those most responsible or who lied most frequently.

But, it gets better-n-better. We find that not only have they been spying on the press, but they were threatening reporters with criminal prosecution for doing their jobs. A direct assault on our First Amendment rights.

As if that was not enough, we find the Obama gang has sicced their IRS attack dogs on Conservatives across America. Not content with harassing Conservative organizations seeking tax-exempt status, they began aggressive audits on individuals and businesses that supported the Right or spoke out against the Left. And, we find this has been going on since shortly after the 2010 mid-term elections and were ramped up prior to the 2012 Presidential election.

In many of the current scandals it has turned out that private information was illegally leaked and made public. I find this ironic given that many government officials are now using private email accounts, when this is actually forbidden, because they don't want their business to be public. Hmmm . . . isn't the government's business supposed to be that of the public? As in that of the citizens???

One thing that I find very scary about so much of what is happening in government is the fact that much of the government day-to-day work is handled by people who are members of government worker unions. Unions that pay heavily into Democrat coffers. Given this kind of situation is there really and truly any way for things to be handled in a non-partisan manner? Or, to cut to the chase, can Conservatives truly get a fair shake???

I for one am finding more and more to fear about my government. From the top down I am uncertain they are truly out to protect me. For one thing, I don't think the top cares about the common people. For another, I think the government very much tilts Left and thinks it is perfectly okay to discriminate against those not aligned with them.

So, given all of the above, what are we to think about government oversight of healthcare? Of the IRS administering much of the ObamaCare? A year long wait for tax-exemption is inconvenient. However, a year long wait for an operation could be deadly.
