Are We Safer?

Last week I spoke on my views about the question: "Are we better off?" This week another very important question drove all other topics right out of my head: "Are we safer?" I think the answer has to be "NO!" Particularly in view of the deaths of four Americans in Libya, the storming of the American Embassy in Egypt, the Fort Hood killings, the Underwear Bomber, and the obvious ramping up of Islamic Extremist Terrorism throughout the world. I am particularly fearful now that we are having acts of war on American soil.

I know I definitely do not feel as safe as I did when President Bush was waging the War on Terror. In contrast we just have President Obama wagging his finger at terrorists, which they don't even call terrorists any more and the phrase "War on Terror" is considered politically incorrect. I am definitely feeling like we have slid back into the wimpy era of Jimmy Carter foreign policy when Iran walked all over the United States and it took Ronald Reagan to turn things around. President Reagan not only took on Iran, he took on the Soviet Union . . . and backed them down!

President Obama can brag all day and into the night about how he killed Osama Bin Laden, but we all know it was Seal Team Six that did the job, with the support, backing, and intelligence put into place while President Bush was in office. If Barack Hussein Obama and his minions had their way we would have most likely just washed our hands of any engagement against the enemy. We probably would have apologized for having killed any of them and paid enormous restitutions to those countries that had lost any terrorist-citizens in battle. Sorry if this is a bit over the top, but I just can't help feeling that Obama does not have the best interests of the American people in mind when he deals with the Middle East and some of the other less than friendly nations around the world.

I know he does not have the interests of our allies at heart, especially Israel. He regularly throws them under the bus. In fact, I am not so sure he hasn't already done so in the way he seemingly signals to other Middle Eastern countries that we might not militarily interfere if Israel is attacked.

As many of y'all who have been reading WoolyMammoth.Org for a while know, I have a dread of Sharia Law being implemented in any way in the United States. I fear Islam. I know it is not a benevolent religion and I especially know it is not woman-friendly. And, I am convinced there is a great hatred for America, Americans, Christians, and Jews in the Muslim World that spills over to other countries as Muslims migrate and settle around the globe.

In Israel there is a saying, "Never Again!" meaning they will not go quietly into that dark night like happened during Hitler's Nazi regime. Of course, in this day and age it is more about Israel standing firm against their Arab and Muslim neighbors. Holding fast against those throughout the Middle East who espouse the idea of wiping Israel off the face of the earth. They live with the battle against "never again" each and every day.

Many people in America also feel strongly that never again will they tolerate another Jewish Holocaust. I say "never again" to hatred's terrorism in any forms. I think most of us in America thought "never again" was what post 9-11 was all about! That we would never again have to fear being attacked on our own soil. That we would not live through another Iran hostage situation, another USS Cole bombing type incident, another disaster like the World Trade Center, or any of the horrific deeds perpetrated by Islamic terrorists on Americans.

We must say "never again" to Islamic Terrorism. We must wake up and realize that only a strong president will protect us from those who would do us harm. Barack Hussein Obama is not that man. I believe Mitt Romney is the kind of strong leader who would stand up for our allies and back down our enemies. I think he believes in saying to our enemies, "Never again!" and he will back it up with the full weight of our military if the need arises!

So, let us all turn out and vote the GOP ticket into place come November. Let us say "never again" to the shoddy and shady doings in DC that have taken place under Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their ilk. I think we can only be safer if we are stronger and we cannot be stronger with that weak-kneed bunch in power!

God bless the USA! God bless our troops! And, God be with those who have lost loved ones in this war waged against us by Islamic hatred.
