Are We There Yet?

Just when I think that Obama and his secular-progressive gang can't sink any lower in their practice of dirty politics … I learn something new. I really thought they had hit bottom with the scurrilous attacks on the Chamber of Commerce. But, no! Apparently their low life tactics know no bounds. It is looking like they have a whole lot more low to go. This certainly is a ride downhill that I'm very ready to exit.

I thought it was horrible when the secular-progressives were vetting the crowds for their ObamaCare town halls. Then, they went to avoiding the town hall meetings all together. They apparently slid back to the vetting process for Obama's campaigning in this mid-term election cycle. But, even that wasn't softball enough for him. After having a couple of supporters ask embarrassing questions, they seemingly decided that more control was needed. So, not only is Obama on script, so is the audience. How you ask?

Easy! They just hired actors for the MTV, BET, and CMT "Conversation with President Obama." That way they can assure the people are attractive, young, and not going to ask anything not pre-approved. Why didn't we all think of this earlier? Why have citizens participate in the electoral process at all? It is so messy that way. Citizens keep wanting to know the truth. They ask embarrassing questions. They demand satisfaction. They want politicians to be held accountable. If you hire actors to pretend to be citizens you can just avoid all that possibly scandalous interaction. No muss. No fuss.

I'm sure you think this can't possibly be true. But, no! Really! It is! They put a notice in Backstage.Com:

PRESIDENT OBAMA TOWN HALL, MTV
MTV, BET and CMT are casting the audience for town hall meeting with President Obama.

Everyone is pretty familiar with the plants that the Obama-philes have placed in various town hall meetings and campaign venues from the beginning. But, apparently they've decided a full garden of plants is more befitting his scripted style of speaking. No off-the-cuff remarks or actual discourse. That can get so easily off-message if one isn't careful.

Some of the secular-progressive talking-heads are now trying to excuse Obama's deceptive procedure by pointing out the Republican ad running in West Virginia that used actors dressed as stereotypical rednecks and was filmed in Philadelphia. Well, excuse me, but I'm pretty sure there is a BIG difference between using actors in an advertisement and using them in a so-called "town hall meeting". Aren't the Obama press conferences already scripted enough with the tame team media fawning over him 24/7?

Talk about being distanced from reality. Obama has so lost touch with the people that he can't even be in the same rooms or backyards with them anymore? What about all the transparency and access we were promised?

The secular-progressives work so much sleight-of-hand on a stage full of smoke-n-mirrors that I feel like I'm sitting in the audience at a David Copperfield magic show. But, while David disappears things like elephants and pretty girls, Obama is making our freedoms and rights vanish right before our eyes. The important thing to remember is that when David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty vanish, it was just an illusion. If Obama and the secular-progressives take away our liberty, it will be all too real.

If we are not very careful making our choices this November 2nd, we might find that we have hit bottom or, worse, that Obama has a really long ride down down down in store for our country. Not only are we not there yet, we still have time to get out of the car. We can stop this ride into a deep, dark place we don't want to go. We can vote for true Conservatives … and then we can watch carefully to make sure they do what we expect.

Each vote the right way is a step back into the light. A start on a journey back up the hill. Away from the bottom. Out of the muck. A move towards reality, not reality TV. I don't know about all y'all, but I want a real person for my President. Not a reality personality. I don't even like watching reality television in my own home … I sure as heck don't want it happening in the White House!

Let's take the first step in 2010 to getting back to what's real. We can then move towards the main event in 2012. Let's take back the Houses, then take back the White House. Let's re-establish the values of America. Let's tell politicians that we're tired of all the pretending and pretensions. We want real. Even if it means real hard work and real hard choices. Choose conservatism in 2010! Vote for morals and ethics.
