Who's Sorry Now?

Barack Hussein Obama is on another world-wide apology tour, but this one has a much smaller price tag, 'cause he's got the world gathered pretty much under one roof right smack dab in New York City, for the United Nations General Assembly. But, I'm afraid he does not speak for me … or even, really, for my country.

I am proud of my country. I am proud of most of my fellow citizens. I think we've done more good in the world than we've done bad. Has America made mistakes? Yes. Have we generally tried to rectify those mistakes? Yes. Are their some bad apples in our citizenry? Yes. Do we try to minimize the damages they do? Yes! (Well, at least we used to until about 8 months ago!) Can anyone really expect more of any country or its citizens? I don't think so.

So, Mr. Obama, when you are running around the world, the country, or the UN, please stop saying Americans are bad. Please stop apologizing for America. We are actually a pretty good group. And, a lot of us sure are tired of you saying different!

If you and your Far Left cohorts would tell the truth about us, people throughout the country and the world might again realize how much we are actually achieving in so many arenas. But, y'all prefer to trash America, run down Americans, and hide the inconvenient truths. Y'all do not so much toe the party line as tell the party lie!

We do not need Cap and Trade or most of the other environmental extremism that is coming down the pike at us because we are already one of the most responsible nations in the world when it comes to protecting the environment. And, that is aside from the fact that Global Warming is actually not world-wide impending disaster that y'all falsely promote.

We do not need an ObamaCare makeover of our healthcare system. We have one of the finest healthcare systems in the world. We lead most of the world in medicine. We are out there at the front with drugs, techniques, surgery, treatments, equipment, facilities, schools, doctors, nurses, technicians, etc. Do we have a few relatively minor problems with the insurance or financial side of things? Perhaps, and there are ways to tweak that without tearing down an entire system that mostly works. Oh, and let's not forget that most of the major issues with our healthcare system are in the areas already under government "oversight": MediCare, MedicAid, VA, Public Clinics, free ER care for illegals, and so on.

While our education system may not be number one in the world, it is far from being the worst. And, in my opinion, most of the problems with it are due to the influence of the Far Left combined with too much government interference. But, we do provide schools for all children! Maybe not all perfect. But, unlike some countries, every child in this nation has the right to go to school and be educated--regardless of race, religion, or gender! Heck, we even educate the illegal immigrant children that the Far Left likes to drag out as the poor, pathetic, poster children to illustrate how horrible Americans are.

While we do have remnants of prejudice, we have come a long way, and we are still working towards making it better. We are not nearly so racist as you would think from listening to the Far Left. Nor do we tend to discriminate as much as they say when it comes to gender, religion, or any of the many other markers that differentiate one person from another. I think too many of you Far Left elitists are looking at the world through rose-colored glasses, thus not actually being aware of the biases and discriminatory practices that exist quite openly in many other nations.

Maybe I'm an old-fashioned kind of gal, but I think an American President should be more of a cheerleader when he is out and about, talking about our great nation! I don't think it is the place of an American President to throw us under the blame-bus … even if he already did that with his supposedly racist white grandmother. I also do not appreciate his Far Left cohorts in government also trash-talking the citizens who do not agree with them. Oh, some of you say, "Well, you're trashing them!" Trash is trash, folks!

If there are any apologies owed at this time … I think it is probably TO the American people. Especially to those who are not on the Far Left. We've been accused of being mean, racist, terrorists, violent, Nazis, fascists, mobs, greedy, etc. What we are is PATRIOTS! Patriots who do not want to see our country changed into something we do not recognize. And, I'm not sorry to say I'm one of those right-wing gun-owning bible-reading Tea Party protestors!
